What is the DR signal on a Gen4 touchpad?
Chris T
The DR (Data Ready) signal will assert (goes LOW) when the touch module has new data for you to read. You then read the data and clear the SW_DR flag. See the example Arduino code for more details about the operation of DR Detailed in section 3.2 Status and Data Ready Signals of the interfacing document.

On all Cirque Gen2 and Gen3 platform, the DR behavior is opposite. When DR assers, it goes HIGH.
DR is a good way to avoid having to poll the I2C bus looking for touch data.  When DR "asserts" your microcontroller can generate an interrupt and then read the touch information.
